The Register of Endoprosthetics of Slovenia (RES) was given a legal basis by the Act on Data Collections in the Field of Health Care (ZZPPZ-B). The manager of the collection RES is the Valdoltra Orthopedic Hospital (OBV). Based on this law, from 1st January 2019 on, all Slovenian public and private institutions that perform arthroplasty are obliged to send data on operations of insertions or revisions of hip or knee endoprostheses to OBV as RES manager for ZZZS insured persons and self-payers.
